Pastor Suzette Caldwell
John 10:1–10

Are we in a room full of champions?

That question set the tone—and the truth is, if you belong to God, the answer is yes. But being a champion in the Kingdom isn’t passive. It’s active. It’s a fight.

The Reality of Kingdom Living

Life in the Kingdom of God is not about sitting back and waiting for things to fall into place. It’s a spiritual fight against opposition that is determined to steal everything God has promised you.

Many believers assume that once they step into God’s will, life will automatically get easier. But the reality is this:

Every calling comes with conflict.
Every promise has opposition.
Every blessing attracts a battle.

The enemy isn’t fighting you because of where you are—he’s fighting you because of where you’re going.

And too many believers are losing battles they were meant to win… simply because they don’t realize they’re in a fight.

John 10 Reveals the Battle

In John 10:1–10, we clearly see two opposing forces:

  • The Shepherd (Jesus) – leading us to life
  • The Enemy (the thief) – trying to steal, kill, and destroy that life

The choice is clear:
Follow the Good Shepherd and fight for the life He promised.

Recognize the Enemy’s Strategy

Before you can win a fight, you must know who you’re fighting.

The enemy is real—and he is strategic.

  • He comes to steal your peace
  • He tries to kill your purpose
  • He seeks to destroy your life

And he doesn’t always show up obviously. Sometimes, he appears as something good—like an “angel of light”—but his goal is always destruction.

Anything that pulls you away from God’s truth is not from God.

This is why you must take a stand:

  • Stand on God’s Word
  • Resist the enemy
  • Refuse to let him take what God promised you

If you’re playing with the enemy, understand—he’s not playing with you.

But here’s the good news:
God is not fighting the enemy—He already defeated him.
Now it’s our responsibility to stand firm in that victory.

Know the Shepherd’s Voice

Victory isn’t just about fighting—it’s about following.

You cannot win spiritually if you’re following the wrong voice.

So the question becomes:
Who are you listening to?

The voice of the Good Shepherd brings:

  • Peace
  • Direction
  • Truth

The enemy’s voice brings:

  • Confusion
  • Fear
  • Distraction

The way to discern the difference is simple but powerful:

Get in your Word.

The more you read the Bible, the more clearly you will recognize God’s voice.

Fight for the Life God Promised

Jesus didn’t just come for you to survive—He came for you to live abundantly.

Abundant life means:

  • Overflow
  • More than enough
  • Superior in quality

It’s not average. It’s not barely getting by.
It’s over and above what’s necessary.

So don’t sit back and let the enemy take what belongs to you.

Fight for:

  • Your peace
  • Your joy
  • Your purpose
  • Your calling

Even if things don’t look good right now—fight anyway.

Declare:

“The enemy will not steal anything else from me.”

And trust this truth:
Wherever you are right now—expect to walk in better.

Final Encouragement

You are not weak.
You are not defeated.
You are not powerless.

You are a fighter in the Kingdom of God.

So follow the Good Shepherd…
Stand on His Word…
And fight for the life He promised you.

Listen for Yourself

This message is powerful—but don’t stop at the recap.

Take time to listen to the full sermon for yourself so you can hear what God is speaking directly to you in this season. There are moments, revelations, and details that will meet you right where you are.

Then go back and read John 10 and ask:
“God, what are You saying to me?”

Because this isn’t just about hearing a message…
It’s about living it.
