One question quietly echoes in the hearts of many believers: “Will I make it?”
It isn’t always because we doubt God’s power. More often, it’s because we know our own weaknesses. The longer we walk with God, the more we recognize just how much we need His grace every single day.
In Jude’s closing doxology, we are reminded that our confidence has never been in our own ability to hold on—it has always been in God’s ability to hold us.
“Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling…” (Jude 24)

The word “keep” carries a powerful meaning. In the Greek, it describes someone standing guard over something valuable that has been entrusted to their care. Think about that for a moment. God is actively watching over you—not because He has to, but because you are valuable to Him.
He guards your life. He secures your footing on dangerous paths. When life becomes uncertain, He is the One who keeps you from slipping.
How many times should we have fallen under the weight of disappointment, temptation, grief, or failure? Yet here we are.
We’re still standing—not because we are flawless, but because God is faithful.
Jude goes even further by declaring that God will present us faultless before His presence with exceeding joy. That doesn’t mean we have never sinned. It means Jesus stands as our Advocate. Through His sacrifice, God sees us through the righteousness of Christ. We are presented without blemish, not because of what we have done, but because of what Jesus has done for us.
