“HE FIXED IT!”

INTRODUCTION

Did you realize the first two persons Elohim created on the face of the earth were dysfunctional? Adam and Eve did not trust The Lord; tried to hide from The Lord; and talked to snakes. Mic drop!

The three (3) most common characteristics of a dysfunctional relationship are: 1) poor communication; 2) broken trust; and 3) unhealthy control. When poor communication occurs, you stop hearing one another. When trust is broken, you stop believing in one another. When there is unhealthy control, you stop respecting one another.

Do any of these three (3) characteristics describe any of your relationships? Today is a great day for you to identify dysfunctional stuff that exists between you and The Lord; you and others; and you and yourself. When you identify it, ask The Lord to fix it. When you ask Him to fix it, allow Him to do so!

In the Garden of Eden Story, all three (3) of these characteristics manifested themselves. Interestingly, the Adam and Eve story reveals the dynamics of Adam and Eve’s dysfunctional relationship with The Lord AND our dysfunctional stuff with The Lord as well.   Bless The Lord for His willingness, readiness and ability to fix it.  “He Fixed It!”

THE FIRST SIN WAS NOT EATING. 5

1. Adam and Eve decided their judgment trumped The Lord’s judgment.
2. They decided to define truth for themselves rather than trust The Lord’s definition of truth.

ADAM’S SILENCE SPEAKS LOUDER THAN EVE’S SPOKEN CONVERSATION 6

1. Adam was present, but he was silent.
2. The first failure was not just deception but “satanic silence” as Eve talked to the serpent.

AFTERTHE FIRST COUPLE SINNED, THE LORD LOOKED FOR THEM!  9

1. The Lord was not seeking information. He knew exactly where they were. The Lord was seeking restoration!
2. The Lord’s first words after “the mess up” were not words of punishment. They were words of pursuit!
3. Jesus fixed it for ya!

THE LORD’S GRACE APPEARS BEFORE JUDGEMENT     21

1. Before expelling them from Eden, The Lord made garments of skin – and clothed them!
2. This is the first picture of The Lord covering human shame.

THE BIBLE BEGINS IN A GARDEN AND ENDS IN A RESTORED PARADISE IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION!  21:3, 4; 22:2-4

1. The first Adam tried to hide from The Lord in the trees. The Second Adam died on a tree for all to see!
2. The first Adam reached for the trees and brought death. The Second Adam went to a tree and brought life!
