Prayer Topic #23:
A Prayer for Kingdom Government and Unity

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 136, Joel 2:28-29

Reflections of the Heart:

As you count the Omer this evening, say this, “This is the 15th day of the Omer. We praise You, O Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us by Jesus Christ, our eternal Redeemer and Savior, and commanded us to count the Omer. By faith, we wait with joyful hearts to celebrate the sending of Your Holy Spirit.”

Scriptural Prayer:

Honorable Father, we thank You for Your tender mercies and loving-kindness towards the Body of Christ throughout the world. Lord, we are thankful for the freedom to worship You, our God. Thank You for the bountiful blessings You have given to us. Thank You for uniting the Body around the world. Thank You for increasing Your presence, power, anointing, and abundance in our cities and throughout the world. Lord, no pagan god is like You! None can do what You do. All the nations You made will come and bow before You; they will praise Your Holy Name! You are great and perform wonderful deeds. You alone are God!

Righteous Father, let Your Kingdom come, and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven concerning Your Kingdom governance throughout the earth and unity among the Body of Christ. As Your people, we humble ourselves, praying and seeking Your face, now! We believe Your Word that says as we turn from our wicked ways, You will hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land. We are expecting Your eyes to open and Your ears to be attentive to our prayers today. We are expecting You to sanctify the Body of Christ and place Your Name here and throughout the world, forever. Glorious Father, we confess, by faith, the Body of Christ, in our city and around the world, is one, just as You and Your Son are one. Let Your heart beat among us and unify us throughout the generations. In Jesus Name, we destroy every demonic assignment against the peace and unity of the Body of Christ. We stand against every label that serves to divide Your people – labels like denomination, political party affiliation, race, ethnicity, nation of origin and economic status – and we declare that we are one in You, Lord. We stand against the spirits of confusion, arrogance, deceit and pride. We render their works null and void. We declare that we will be like-minded and there will be no division in the Spirit among us. We will love our neighbors as ourselves. Lord, You said that in Your Son, Jesus Christ, there is neither Jew nor Greek, bond nor free, male nor female. We confess that we are all one in Christ Jesus and we will put on love which is the bond of perfection.

Holy Father, we ask You to fill every believer worldwide with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Help us to walk worthy and fully pleasing before You. As believers, help us to be fruitful in every good work. Please strengthen the leaders of our churches and help them to represent Your Kingdom in the earth. Holy Spirit, synchronize the heart of every believer and unify our spirits to receive and submit to Your vision for our city. Help all of us to do our part to manifest Your vision for Your Church! Please help individual members of congregations to serve You by manifesting real Kingdom change in the world, as we walk in the fruit of the Spirit demonstrating love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Lord, touch the hearts of all believers, in the midst of this health crisis, to re-present You among their family members, neighbors, strangers and even their enemies. As we meet the needs of others, use us to bring Glory to Your Name.

Forgiving Father, forgive the Body of Christ for its many sins (list additional sins). Forgive us for separating ourselves through denominations, ethnicity, and socio-economic status. Forgive us for not loving each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Forgive our churches for being self-centered and self-absorbed. Forgive us when we have had a form of Godliness, but denied Your power. Forgive us for not always being Kingdom-minded. Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us as the Body of Christ not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Sovereign King, You are the visible image of the invisible God. You existed before anything was created and You are supreme over all creation. Through You, everything was created in the heavenly realms and on earth. You made the visible as well as invisible things. Thrones, kingdoms, rulers and authorities in the unseen world were all created through You and for You. You existed before anything else and You hold all creation together! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
