Prayer Petition #4:

A Prayer of Blessing for In-Person Worship Services

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 12, 1 Kings 8

Reflections of the Heart:

As we return to The Kingdom Builder’s Center for in-person worship services, we declare “… The glory of the Lord filled His temple” (1 Kings 8:11). Just as when the Israelites returned to Jerusalem from captivity, we too will be filled with laughter and sing for joy (Psalm 126:2).

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we praise You with our whole hearts; we will show forth all of Your marvelous works.  We gladly rejoice in You; and we will sing praise to Your Name, O Lord most High.  Your Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.  You rule throughout all generations.  You always keep Your promises.  You are gracious in all You do.  We thank You for blessing the families of Windsor Village Church Family and thank you for enabling us to fellowship throughout the time when we were away from our place of worship.  We are thankful to You for the covenant You made with Abraham which continues to manifest in our lives and the lives of our children.  Thank You for being our hope!

Father, we declare by faith that the families of Windsor Village Church are blessed. We declare that we are blessed in the city and blessed in the field. We are blessed when we return to The Kingdom Builder’s Center to worship together; our bodies and our families are blessed. We decree that You are our sun and our shield, You bestow favor and honor; and no good thing will You withhold from us as we gather in Your name, because we walk uprightly. We declare that Your glory will reign in our hearts, homes, and our church home.

We are blessed of the Lord.  Before we call, we are expecting You to answer; while we are still talking about our needs, we are expecting our prayers to be answered, in Jesus’ Name.

In what way can you be praying for the Church Family as we re-enter the sanctuary?

Holy Spirit, show us how to be wise as we gather together. Teach the staff and leaders how to properly implement the plans that You have given them. Remind the congregation to be loving, kind, gentle, and understanding, as Windsor Village staff and leaders put in place guidelines to keep our congregation safe and prevent the spread of COVID during in-person worship services. Lord we ask for Your spirit of peace to saturate our hearts and minds, and that we will be excited to return to worship services.

Father, forgive us for being impatient and for murmuring, ungodly behavior, and unhealthy attitudes.  Forgive us for not maintaining lifestyles of worship and praise as we’ve been outside of the building. Forgive us for not praying like we should. Forgive us for the times we did not represent You well; and help us to return to our first love, which is You. Holy Spirit, show us those persons we need to forgive; and help us to forgive.

Holy Spirit, lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, who with His own hand has fulfilled what He promised. Lord, You are the I AM that I AM.  You are the One who alone can never die, who lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach.  No human eye has ever seen You, nor ever will.  To You, be all honor and power forever! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
