A Prayer for The KBC in Kenya

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 148, Psalm 146:5-9, James 1:27

Reflections of the Heart:

Unfortunately, nearly two million children in Kenya have neither a father nor a mother. About half of those have been orphaned as a result of the AIDS epidemic, which has decimated eight percent of the adult population who are HIV-positive.  While many of these children end up on the streets doing whatever they can to eat, a few have been blessed to find shelter and love in The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya.

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we give thanks to You, Lord, and proclaim Your greatness. We thank You so very much for The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya.  Thank You for Daniel Kibe, the volunteers and staff. We thank You, Father, for providing food, clothing and shelter for each child.  Thank You for the financial resources for the orphanage.  As Your grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving and You will receive more and more glory!  Redeeming Father, we will let the whole world know what You have done.  May the nations praise You, O God. Yes, may all the nations praise You. All praise to You, God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, for You have blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. O Lord, we will praise You among the nations; we will sing praises to Your Name.

Worthy Father, as a Church Family, we come before You confessing great success for The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya.  Your Word tells us that pure and genuine religion in Your sight means caring for orphans in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt us. We declare that we will assist the poor in their need and the orphans who require help. We command justice to operate for each child in the orphanage and we destroy the assignments of oppression and devastation.  We proclaim that, as Your people, we will uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. We declare that the children will be well-cared-for and protected by their housemother and her assistant. Lord, let the spirit of excellence that was upon Daniel, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego presides upon each child in the Children Center.  In Jesus’ Name, we proclaim that The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya is maintained and well-managed.

Holy Spirit, touch the hearts of people to continue to give generously of their financial resources to aid in the expansion of the building projects so that more children can be served.  Lead the people of Kenya who are blessed with skills in construction to volunteer their time and service to the residential housing and library projects. Holy Spirit, give counsel to the local medical personnel to give of their time and expertise to provide medical services to the children. Loving Father, send anointed teachers who will inspire each child to develop fully the gifts and talents You have created in each of them. Place in them a love of learning. Most of all, Father, we pray that each child will come to know Jesus Christ as his or her personal Lord and Savior and be fully persuaded that they are loved by You.  Holy Spirit, send more laborers into this vineyard.

Father, I commit to supporting The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya by:

Righteous Father, as a Church Family, forgive our sins and graciously receive us.  Forgive the sins of those involved with The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya.  Holy Spirit, if there are people who are abusing the orphans or misusing the funds raised to care for them and develop the orphanage, expose each one of them.  Convict them of their wickedness and counsel them to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. Father, forgive believers in America who have become complacent in helping others. Forgive those who do not tithe and give offerings to support the care of orphans. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, remind those involved with The Kingdom Builders’ Children Center Kenya to not yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

O Sovereign Lord, You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power.  You created all things, and they exist because You created what You pleased.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
