Prayer Topic #1:

A Prayer for Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell and Family

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 47, Psalm 128

Reflections of the Heart:

Our visionary, Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell, has carried an incredible weight that many of us will never truly understand. Under his leadership, we have experienced many miracles within our Church Family through the power of prayer. Windsor is the House that Prayer built. We, the Church will pray very earnestly for our visionary, just as the believers prayed for Peter in Acts 12:5.

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for appointing Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell to The Windsor Village Church Family. Thank You for blessing us with his thirty-nine years of visionary leadership and ministry, which have successfully transformed a community and improved the lives of thousands of people. Thank You for guiding, healing, and continuing to protect his family. Lord, You are our Good Shepherd, our High Priest. You are an awesome God. You are great and deserving of praise. Lord, in Your presence, we are glad and filled with joy. We sing praises to Your name. You are the One who rides the clouds; the Lord is Your name! Windsor Village Church Family will praise Your works to one another and shall declare Your mighty acts.

Almighty Father, Your Word says that those who fear You and delight in obeying Your commands will be joyful. You promised that their children would be successful everywhere. Pastor Kirbyjon obeys Your commands; therefore, we can be assured that his family will be blessed in the city and in the fields. They will be blessed when they come in and when they go out. Lord, we expect that You will cause every enemy who rises against the Caldwell’s one way to be defeated and flee seven ways. We confess that our pastor and his family are the head and not the tail; they are above only and not beneath. We declare that You, Father, will perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle all of our pastors and their families. Father, not for our sake, but for Your name’s sake, show Your glory, merciful love and faithfulness toward The Windsor Village Church Family. We trust in You, our helper and our shield. In faith, we know that You are the Lord who remembers us and will bless our Church Family. We will not cry in defeat but will fix our eyes on God as we pray through this season.

Holy Spirit, help us not to forget Your benefits, including pardoning all our iniquities and healing all our wounds. We ask that You will command Your favor in the hearts of the judicial persons and systems connected to Pastor Kirbyjon. Surround him with peace and cause his composure to be undisturbed. Protect our Pastor, keep him in good health and guarded against the disrespect of people. Please help Pastors Kirbyjon and Suzette Caldwell maintain balance in their public and private lives. Enable them to experience the Kingdom of God here on earth and empower The Windsor Village Church Family to continue to do good works that will glorify You, our Father in Heaven. Strengthen our Church Family’s efforts to stand on the wall, staying alert and clearheaded to listen to the Holy Spirit as we pray. Let our armor of faith and love protect us and keep our focus on You, our helmet of confidence of our salvation.

Holy Spirit, show me how to pray specifically for my Pastor and his family:

Merciful Father, forgive us for not being steadfast in praying for our pastors and their families. Forgive those in our Church Family for speaking ill against our pastors and rebelling against their teachings.  Forgive those who gossip, murmur, complain, and whine. Please forgive our pastors and their families for any acts of sinfulness including, anger, wrath, envy, jealousy or dissension. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our pastors and their families to forgive each other and other people, and please help them to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help Pastor Kirbyjon and Pastor Suzette and their family not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may You be praised forever and ever! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory and the majesty.  Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours.  This is Your Kingdom.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
