Emergency Prayer Petition:
A Prayer for the Russian Invasion of Ukraine
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 93, Psalm 44:1-8
Reflections of the Heart:
God’s mercy, forgiveness, salvation, restoration, and peace are available to all. Our Heavenly Father desires to commune with the citizens of these countries as much as He does with us, therefore let us pray for peaceful resolutions.
Scriptural Prayer:
Great and marvelous are Your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your Name? You alone are Holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed. Thank You, Father, for protecting the people of Ukraine. Thank You for extending Your mercy and grace towards this country. Your faithful love endures forever. Father, thank You for protecting our nation and giving our government and international allies wisdom during time of war. Thank You for blessing our military personnel and allies who are serving in Europe. We give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good and Your faithful love endures forever.
Father, it is Your will that all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead quiet and peaceful lives in all godliness and reverence. This is good and acceptable in Your sight. You desire all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Therefore, we pray for the salvation of the people of Russia and Ukraine, including Russia President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. We pray for the leadership of both governments. We call for godly wisdom to enter the hearts of their leaders; and knowledge to fill them with joy. We declare wise choices will watch over them and understanding will keep them safe. We confess that Your wisdom will save Ukraine and surrounding nations from the way of evil people whose words are twisted; for to do wrong is fun for a fool but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible. Lord, we command peace and prosperity to overflow within Ukraine and its surrounding nations. We are trusting You to comfort the citizens of Ukraine. We believe that You will raise up people within Ukraine and its international allies who will begin to rebuild the ruined places. Father, we commit to praying without ceasing for the war in Ukraine.
I commit to praying for the Russia-Ukraine Conflict in the following ways:
Father, please have mercy on Ukraine. Touch the hearts of their citizens, the people of Russia and other nations to call upon Your Name and be saved. Give them one heart and put a new spirit within them. Holy Spirit, fill them and remove the stony hearts of citizens and government officials, and give them hearts of flesh. Remove the scales from their eyes and lead them into all truth. Lord, intervene within this war so that the conflict will be short-lived, casualties will be few, and justice would prevail. Provide a way of escape for Ukraine. Protect Ukrainian refugees who are fleeing this country and please empower this nation with necessary resources to survive and thrive. Rebuild their lands and expose every untruth and wicked intention within Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and international allies. Father, please crush the head of the Russian government that seeks to overtake this country and pull down their democracy. Protect our U.S. soldiers, allies, and the innocent people of Ukraine and Russia and return troops home safely to their respective families. Father, please give the world governmental leadership wisdom and guidance as they manage the affairs in their countries. Give President Joe Biden, and the Biden administration, leaders of the Armed Forces and our allies increased wisdom, knowledge, and discernment. Holy Spirit, help them to make sound decisions. Help us to continue praying for the families whose loved ones are serving in these areas.
Father, we ask You to forgive our nation for its many sins. Forgive our nation for arrogance, murder, pride, hypocrisy, slander, greed, racism, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, injustice, elitism, hatred, violence, oppression, unrighteousness and compromising the Gospel. Forgive the people of Russia and Ukraine for their sins. Forgive those of us for not praying without ceasing at the first sign of the Russia invasion. Please have mercy on all of us. Lord, remind our nation to be forgiving and help the Russian and Ukrainian people to forgive.
Lead them not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.
Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. God, You reign over the nations and You sit on Your Holy throne. Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
