SERMON NOTES: THE BLOOD

“THE BLOOD!”

I Corinthians 11.25

Introduction

Today’s message will have an appreciably different format from the messages I normally share. First, there will be a lot of Scriptures. A lot more than normal!
Second, today we are celebrating the Eucharist, also known as the Lord’s Supper.
So, the message will focus exclusively on the blood of Jesus.

When today’s message is over, you will have a greater understanding of and appreciation for the blood of Jesus.  Additionally, you will know how to apply, or appropriate, the power and purpose of Jesus’ blood to your personal and professional life.

The devil wants to destroy us.  The blood of Jesus destroys what the devil wants to use to destroy us!

Seven (7) Places Where Jesus Shed His Blood

1. The Garden of Gethsemane – We lost authority in a garden.  Jesus regained it for us in another garden. Luke 22:44
2. The Whipping Post – We have access to health because of His blood. John 19:1
3. Internal Injuries – We have access to the right standing with God, The Father, because of His blood. Isaiah 53:5
4. Crown of Thorns – We have access to peace because of His blood.  Matthew 27:29
5. His Hands – We have access to prosperity because of His blood. Psalm 22:16
6. His Feet – We have access to dominion and authority because of His blood. Matthew 27:35
7. His Side – We have access to joy and a mended heart because of His blood. John 19:34

Jesus Blood Speaks!  Hebrews 12:24

 Jesus’ blood says:

1. You are forgiven!  Hebrews 9:22
2. You are redeemed (bought with a price)!  Hebrews 9:12
3. You are justified!   Romans 5:9
4. You are cleansed!  1 John 1:7
5. You are made righteous!  Roman’s 5:9
6. You are brought near to Jesus!   Ephesians 2:13
7. You have peace!  Colossians 1:20
8. You are washed and free!  Revelation 1:5
9. You are an overcomer!  Revelation 12:11
10. You are healed!  1 Peter 2:24
11. You are in the new covenant!  Luke 20:22; Hebrews 10:9
12. You are holy! Hebrews 13:12

Summary

As you read this particular Sermon Note, expect these Scriptures you read to become flesh and dwell within you. Expect this Word to dwell among you as well!  May these Words be unto you according to the purpose and power of Jesus’ blood!

The power of Jesus’ blood is incalculable!  Receive it purpose by faith …..
