“BLESSINGS!”
Genesis 12:1-3; Genesis 1:22,28; Numbers 6:24-27
I. Introduction
Today we conclude our three-part series on Blessings. (Don’t worry: The Prophet, Pimp and Pray-er sermon is coming.)
Today’s message, like last Sunday’s message, is NOT a sermon. In a sense, it is more of a spiritual experience, a declaration of blessings. I invite you to receive the intentional utterances of The Lord (blessings)!
II. What is a blessing?
A. blessing is an act – speech or act – that transmits The Lord’s power.
B. Yahweh‘s power for life is given directly by His utterances. Genesis 1:22
C. Yahweh decreed well-being (blessings) for earth and its inhabitants.
D. Human beings are bearers of The Lord’s power for life. As a result, humans can mediate a blessing.
III. The Abrahamic blessing. Numbers 6:24-27
A. Yahweh will bless your property and protect you from your enemies and “mazzikim“ (demons). v.24
B. The Lord is showing you a smiling countenance, meaning The Lord will treat you with favor and kindness. v.25
C. Yahweh suppresses His anger and grants His absolute peace, the absolute blessing v. 26;
D. The Lord offers His “central blessing“, His protection to cover His people! v. 27
IV. Declare Numbers 6:24-27 over your LIFE and the way you LIVE!
