When Women Unite, Bold and Courageous Actions Happen!

Ladies, if you haven’t purchased your tickets for Women’s Weekend, time is running out!  Online registration will end Thursday, August 23rd.   To start things off,  Women of Windsor (WOW)  will host the morning workshops beginning at 8:30 AM.  Topics include: 

Corporate Culture Matters:Navigating corporate culture is a skill. No matter where you are on the corporate ladder, this masterful panel of entrepreneurs and business professionals will share their tips on how to stay relevant in today’s workforce, exemplify authenticity in the work place, and influence corporate culture as a change agent within your organization.  Instructors: LaJoia Walker, Latorria Lemon, Diane Maben, Genora Boykins

SELAH- The No Phone Zone: A place to unplug and be reminded that you must care for yourself in order to care for others. Experience times of prayer and meditation as well as a moment of self-care.  Instructor: Tongela Clark

Let’s Get Free: Moving Forward: Be set free and walk in your freedom. Learn how to heal from past hurts and take the necessary steps to move forward.  Instructor: Yolande Palmore

At The Table: Getting back to the focus of family. Learn tips on how to slow down and enjoy one another as a family unit.  Instructor: Jeanette Allen

Love Thy Neighbor: Learn ways to become more compassionate and gain tips on how to demonstrate love even in the most challenging relationships.  Instructor: Jacqui King

The Glow Up: Come meet your new glam squad! Receive personalized tips on how to maintain healthy hair, skin, and nails and ways to achieve an everyday glam look from head to toe.  Instructors: TBD

 Following the workshops, UMW will host the Women and The Word Luncheon at 11:00 a.m., in The KBC – Gymnatorium.   The guest speaker will be Rev. Dr. Gina Stewart, Senior Pastor of Christ Missionary Baptist Church, Memphis, TN.  Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased HERE, online and in the Lobby following each worship celebration and Victory Wednesday Bible Study.  Childcare will be available for $5.00 per child and online registration is required.  Our colors for the weekend are orange and/or lime green.   For more information, e-mail Women’s Ministry at, or call 713-726-2614.
