Why are we being asked to drive on the roads if we’re being asked my law enforcement & the mayor to stay home?! While I understand that we don’t want to allow the storm to run our lives, we also don’t want people to lose their lives either! I don’t think that having services is a sound decision for the church as a whole. Not everyone lives a few minutes from the church, including those of us who are active in the church as part of the women’s choir.

    Blessed morning to the reader,

Please reconsider having all services in a few hours. This rain event is not like any event Houston has seen. The depths of water on roads can not be accurately evaluated. Please think safety first. Having one member becoming stuck or his or her automobile becoming water-logged will be more problematic in the long-term. The less stress on first responders, the safer they will be as well. As of now there has been over 1000 rescues and five fatalties, and the current time is 5:19am. Members live all around the Houston area. There are three rain patterns in the Gulf converging together and the meeting spot is the Houston area. Please love on every member and first responders by canceling all services.

  3. Roshelle says:

Thank you for your concern Kevin. We have indeed cancelled all of our services. God bless you.

  4. Roshelle says:

God bless you Rolanda. We have indeed cancelled all of the services. Thank you for your faithfulness to the Women’s Choir.

I cannot express the joy my heart feels to know the church I attend practices what it preaches at all times. That Gods people mean more to them than anything in the world and nothing will separate Windsor Village United Methodist Church, its pastors, and members from fighting the good fight.

My spirit is so full to know the church is fruitful ground and the leadership is determined to lead Gods people by his example. For this is who we are a people called by God to fight the good fight knowing there is no battle too big for God.

Solider on Windsor Village your light is shining like the MORNING STAR. I am persuaded that God himself gave the leaders of this church a vision that cannot be slowed nor stopped. Your faith has not allowed you to go in the church and closed the doors but to go into battle and minister to the people.

Those who would not come in you took prayer and worship to them by building a community that is open to all praise be unto God for communing with the mind and spirit of Kirby John Caldwell and all the elders of Windsor Village United Methodist Church I am encouraged by Gods people who are called by his name that continually do his good work and take no glory of themselves.

But testified to the goodness and mercy of Christ Jesus in whom their strength and faith lies which allows them to stay on a path of righteousness for his name sake. May God continue to bless Windsor Village that you may always fight the good fight according to his word.
