Thinking about getting married?
Marriage is a wonderful God created institution. Your decision to get married is one of the most important decisions you will make in your lifetime. This decision is not to be entered into lightly, but prayerfully and with spiritual guidance.
God’s design for marriage is that it be a permanent bond. When entering into marriage, you are making a covenant or a binding, unbreakable agreement with your partner and with God.
Windsor Village UMC wants to equip couples with the proper tools to help them make the right decisions about marriage. We offer Pre-Martial preparation workshops to all singles who are engaged or contemplating marriage in the near or distant future.
This workshop is required for all couples who are getting married by a Pastor or Minister of Windsor Village UMC. All WV members getting married by clergy other than that of WV are strongly encouraged to take the workshop.
If, after completing the Pre-Marital Workshop, you decide that marriage is the choice for you, and you wish to get married at Windsor Village or by a Windsor Village UMC Pastor/Minister, you will receive an information packet on “Getting Married At Windsor Village” from a church wedding coordinator.
The Windsor Village UMC Pre-Marital Workshop is registered with the Twogether In Texas program. All couples who successfully complete the workshop will receive a special certificate (good for one year), which allows couples to save $60 on their Texas marriage license fee.
