Prison Ministry

What is the Windsor Village Prison Ministry?

Our mission is to serve men, women, and youth returning to our communities after incarceration.  We seek to reduce recidivism, develop strong systems of support by building relationships matching inmates with volunteer mentors from our church and community.  We are a part of a support network for spouses, and caregivers affected by the incarceration of a family member.  We make prison visitations, write letters to inmates, and provide “care packages” to men and women at local TDCJ sites.  We also visit and mentor youth detainees, provide bibles, and other approved books to HCJD centers.

Who should join our Prison Ministry?

If you have a desire to assist people affected by incarceration and to mentor youth and adult inmates as they transition for re-entry into our communities, then the Windsor Village Church Family Prison Ministry needs you.
